Tasting notes
Score 89/100 · Drink 1992-1998, Robert Parker, Oct 1992

The Grands Echezeaux reveals a surprisingly light ruby color, as well as a heavy overlay of toasty, smoky, new oak. In the mouth, the wine is sweet, with loads of glycerin and alcohol. There is fine ripeness, but not the great extraction of fruit that low yields/old vines produce. The long, heady, voluptuous finish is a real turn-on. This delicious, obvious style of red burgundy merits consumption over the next 5-6 years. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Chester, VT.
