Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006
Ruby-red. Deep, brooding aromas of dark raspberry, smoked meat, mocha and earth. Full and fresh but tightly wound and classically dry. This offers very good cut and verve for a wine that was not acidified. Finishes firmly tannic, suave and fresh, with very good length. The pH here is a rather high 3.72, notes Devillard.
