Tasting notes
(made from 100% marsanne): Bright gold. Intense, mineral- and spice-accented aromas of poached pear and honey. Fleshy but animated, offering powerful pit and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter lemon pith. Closes spicy and long, leaving dusty mineral and floral notes on the palate.

Even better is the 2011 St.-Peray Lieu-Dit Peyrolles, a single vineyard offering revealing plenty of powdered rock, nectarine, buttered citrus and honeysuckle characteristics. Think of this full-bodied, ripe, impressive St.-Peray as a grand cru Chablis from the Northern Rhone! In partnership with the Pic family, of three-star restaurant fame, Michel Chapoutier has produced two cuvees of St.-Peray, both made from 100% Marsanne.
