Tasting notes
Mid crimson with a pale rim. Some interest even if not intensity on the nose. Not a blockbuster but certainly lively. Very distinctive nose with much looser, almost rhubarb-like fruit notes as though this were exposed to more oxygen than many during winemaking. Good raciness and there is sufficient fruit to cover the tannin. Crackling and lively. Rather coarse and green on the palate. Astringent, bone dry finish. (JR)

Bright red-ruby color. Sweet cherry and a hint of reduction on the nose. Primary, even a bit youthfully brutal, but this has a sappy intensity to its cherry flavor. Showed increasing sweetness as it opened in the glass without losing its firm structure.
Shows sweet tobacco and berry aromas. Full-bodied, with round, chewy tannins. Slightly hollow midpalate. Best after 2010. 5,515 cases made.-James Suckling, Wine Spectator 2009
