Deep glowing crimson. Interesting tertiary aromas – quite a bit of complexity on the nose – followed by some slightly awkward tannins. Still a bit stringy on the palate but already with a lovely nose. (JR)

Lively healthy deep crimson. A little bit stewed on the nose. Some lift and gloss but a little pointu at the moment. This should come good . The tannins are quite fine. But time is needed for this wine. (JR)

Spicy aromas of new saddle leather, cherry and currant fruit, as well as liquid minerals compete for the taster's attention. This ripe, medium-bodied offering displays more depth than many recent vintages, but earth and tannin dominate the finish. Over time, the battle between the fruit and tannin will undoubtedly favor the latter. Anticipated maturity: Now-2009.
