Score 89-91/100 · Allen Meadows, Burghound

Here the wood treatment is much more discreet with its cool and pure nose of wild and mixed dark berries, pungent earth and plenty of sauvage character. There is excellent intensity and drive to the overtly mineral-driven middle weight flavors that possess excellent volume and phenolic maturity before concluding in a saline, long and ever-so-mildly austere finish. This is well worth considering. Tasted: Jan 15, 2014. Drink: 2020+
