Tasting notes
Good healthy dark red. Highly aromatic nose of cherry, raspberry and smoke. Sweet but juicy and gripping, with penetrating cherry/berry, game and licorice flavors supported by a firm spine of ripe tannins. More vibrant and nuanced than the Clos Prieur. A distinctly chewy premier cru with the structure to repay aging. Serious juice.

Good full red. Sexy aromas of black raspberry, cherry and smoky meat; a bit less high-pitched and precise than the aromas of the Clos Prieur today. Then very ripe, plush and generous, with a compelling creamy sweetness that's no doubt partly due to a lot of tiny millerande grapes. Less detailed than the Clos Prieur but this should offer the advantage of earlier drinkability.
