Their first year of conversion to biodynamics. Vines planted in 1987. Half whole bunch. Mid-shaded garnet. Pale rim. Very discreet nose. Masses of ripe fruit and some delicacy with a real undertow of excitement. There’s a delightfully nervous interplay between fruit and tannin here. I suspect there is more to come out… For the moment the finish is a little dry. (JR)

Moderately saturated medium red. Very reticent aromas of dark cherry and smoke. Tougher and more peppery in the mid-palate today than the Corbeaux. Offers a light touch but this fresh, drier-style wine is quite closed today. Finishes with dusty tannins. Needs patience.

Cask sample. Fresh and lively – transparent, very serious. Great balance and refreshment value. Well judged. Good attack and very long. Great finish. (JR)
