Some development and very good density. More complex nose than most. Sweet and gentle on the palate with molten tannins. Forward but pleasurable. Some length. (JR)
Grand Cru Classé Heady, meaty, flashy nose. Sweet start then rich and ripe and really very satisfying. The oak may be very slightly obvious but the whole is much more satifying and rewarding than most of these skinny little monsters. Long. (JR)
(13.5% alcohol, with a pH of 3.9) Full red. Wild, carnal aromas of red fruits, truffle, licorice, toffee and smoke. Sweet, lush and smooth, but with an edge of acidity firming the red berry, smoke, truffle, earth and animal fur flavors. This wine was only racked twice: in June of 2003, and then a second time prior to the bottling in June of 2004.
