Score 88-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2009

(this only finished its malolactic fermentation in September) Medium red, less saturated than the Combe d'Orveaux. Reduced aromas of redcurrant, smoked meat and oak. In a harder style than the last couple of wines, with limited early sweetness and personality. A higher level of CO2 is making this difficult to taste today. Finishes with smoky oak and fairly serious tannins.
