Tasting notes
Seductively spicy, black cherry fruit and harmonious, detailed, and beautifully balanced, almost lush flavors that are rich, long and wonderfully persistent and display definite notes of licorice and clove. This is really lovely stuff in a medium weight, very intense style. Allen Meadows, Burghound Jan01,2002

Deep, bright red. High-toned, expressive nose combines red cherry, sappy raspberry and bitter chocolate, along with a tangy stoniness. Much fatter and fuller than the Chambolle villages, but still quite closed on the back half. Vibrant for the vintage. Finishes firm and quite long, with very fine tannins.
