Tasting notes
Very dark, blackcurrant colour. A freshness on the nose. Very slightly skinny and austere still. Well-managed tannins, but wait. (JR)

Simple but healthily vibrant nose. Quite marked chunky tannins – an ambitious wine that is not yet ready. Quite long. (JR)
This property could make significantly better wine given their vineyard's terroir, but they seem to be content to turn out attractive, but essentially one-dimensional wines. Soft, round, and medium-bodied, the 1998 possesses copious quantities of black cherry fruit, toasty new oak, low acidity, and an up-front, savory style. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.
