Tasting notes
Such slinkyness! Hedonistic but not opulent and with achingly good oak influence, and really self-confident tannins on the finish. Has the magic of the best burgundies. (RH)

(all whole clusters; 50% new oak; from 60-year-old vines in the upper part of the vineyard, near Richebourg): Good bright red. Exhilarating aromas of red cherry, raspberry, citrus zest, cocoa powder and flowers. Complex and razor-sharp, with tightly wound flavors of red berries, citrus peel and flowers. Really extraordinary brooding energy here. Almost painful on the very long, firmly tannic back end. This wonderfully precise wine is likely to require extended cellaring. Has the class of a grand cru.
