Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2007

Good bright, deep red. Vibrant aromas of dark berries, violet and minerals. Juicy, minerally and precise, with lovely floral lift to the dark fruit flavors. This has the energy and perfume of the best 2004s while avoiding hardness. Quite primary for the year and long on the aftertaste. Grivot told me he bought a sorting table in 2003 and did a strict selection in 2004.
