2002 Vosne Romanee Les Suchots

Medium red. Nose initially dominated by tomatoey reduction, with raspberry, framboise , rose petal and spice notes emerging with aeration. Suave and supple in texture, communicating a very fine-grained quality to its concentrated flavors of red berries, cocoa powder and butter. Very rich, dry, classic Suchots with terrific length and noteworthy finesse. Yves Confuron believes that in its nobility this wine approaches the 2013 but says the '13 is more concentrated. Finishes broad and stylish, with superb length.
