Score 85/100 · Drink 1982, Robert Parker, Jan 1998
The 1979 is the first in a line of successful Lafaurie-Peyraguey wines that seem to have taken on greater richness as the Cordier firm has moved to upgrade the quality. A lovely spicy-scented pineapple bouquet is attractive. The wine displays good botrytis, good acidity, moderate sweetness, and a crisp, clean finish. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 3/82.
