Medium red. Sexy red fruits complicated by truffle and earth. Fresh, suave and easygoing, with a light touch of minerality perking up the red fruit and earth flavors; with aeration, this showed sweeter cherry and raspberry notes. Nicely firm on the back end, finishing with good energy and length. From vines planted in 1955. This is much better than a barrel sample I tasted a year ago.

Pale, bright red. Subdued aromas of cherry and spice. Sweet red fruit flavors display moderate flesh and a touch of mineral firmness that gives precision to the back end. Finishes firm and persistent.
