Medium red. Red berries, flowers and mint on the slightly reduced nose. Fruity and fairly dense, with a pliant texture and subtle sweetness and spice. Nicely fleshy Nuits in an essentially gentle style; time in bottle should bring more nuance. Finishes with good aromatic persistence and a late note of pepper. (A Gevrey villages was delicate and a bit diffuse, showing more red fruits and mint than game character; it rated 85-88.)
