Tasting notes
Harvest date 22 Sep-9 Oct; yield 72 hl/ha; vineyard area 52.85 ha Pale to mid ruby – doesn't even look as though it's trying! Lightly, pleasantly scented. Lively and fresh though very light and nervy. A simple wine but by no means a failure. Slightly dry tannins on the finish. (JR)

This exceptionally well-run estate has turned out a very fine wine for the vintage. The color is an opaque ruby/purple and the nose offers up sweet, ripe, blackcurrants intertwined with scents of minerals and wood. Medium-bodied and moderately tannic, with fine purity and sweetness, this is a firm, well-built wine. It should be cellared for 3-4 years and drunk over the subsequent 10-15.
