Red-ruby. Aromas of black cherry, licorice and minerals offer lovely perfumed lift. Supple, ripe and sweet, with a distinctly modern aspect to the flavors of black cherry, bitter chocolate and licorice. The tannins begin supple but turn a bit dusty with aeration, with some minty and herbal nuances emerging.

A classic hedonistic style of St.-Emilion from famous French aircraft manufacturers, this wine displays oodles of plum and red and black currant notes with sweet cherries and roasted herbs. Soft and racy, the velvety texture cascades over the palate. This is a vin de plaisir and proud of it. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

Light nose, without great distinguishing marks? A bit rasping with notable acidity. Quite green on the finish. (JR)
