Tasting notes
The 1988 Carbonnieux is an elegant, lighter-styled wine displaying charm, medium body, sweet strawberry fruit, and plenty of oak. It is not a big wine, but it is stylish, flavorful, and graceful. Drink it over the next 6-7 years.

Vividly aromatic and flavorful, lean and sharply focused, offering plenty of currant, blackberry, cedar and spice flavors to linger on the finish. Drinkable now. 22,000 cases made.-James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1991
