Tasting notes
(85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc) Dark ruby. Very ripe aromas of cassis, coffee and animal fur. Slightly high-toned flavors of plum, raspberry, smoke and earth; nicely supple but kept firm by the calcaire influence.

A very good effort in this challenging vintage, this dark ruby-hued 2002 offers sweet aromas of red and black fruits interwoven with toast, damp earth, and smoky notes. Medium-bodied with silky tannin and a spicy finish, it requires consumption over the next 5-6 years.
(80% merlot, 15% cabernet franc and 5% cabernet sauvignon, from chalky, minerally soil) Spicy aromas of black raspberry, licorice and stone, with a hint of maple syrup. Sweet and pliant but vinous, with raspberry, spice and mineral flavors. Not hugely concentrated despite the reportedly low yields, but distinctly graceful, seamless wine. Finishes with some youthfully tight tannins.
