Score 87-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2006
(Mortet had just taken back control of these 40-year-old vines) Full red-ruby. Black raspberry, leather and chocolate on the nose. Sweet, supple and dense, with expressive, well-delineated flavors of black raspberry, animal fur and leather. Nicely balanced wine, with good, fresh acidity (the highest of the range in 2004).
