Score 89/100 · Drink 2020-2028, Jeb Dunnuck, Nov 2020

Coming from the Pessac-Léognan region, the 2009 Château Couhins is a ripe, charming 2009 with plenty to love. Notes of darker currants, earthy forest floor, truffle, and tobacco leaf all give way to a medium-bodied, concentrated, nicely textured 2009 with sweet tannins and rock-solid length on the finish. It's fully mature (yet not tertiary) and ideal for enjoying over the coming 7-8 years.
