Tasting notes
Good deep, bright red. Knockout aromas and flavors of dark fruits, flowers, licorice, menthol and sexy smoky oak. Plush, dense and superconcentrated, with excellent energy to the broad, palate-drenching fruit and mineral flavors. Somehow combines a texture of liquid velvet with a light touch. Finishes with very fine-grained tannins and superb rising length. A Brunello with great class and depth..

This perfumed red evokes wild herbs, floral and dried cherry aromas and flavors. Elegant yet firmly structured, staying focused and precise on the finish. The long aftertaste shows sweet fruit and mineral accents. 2,000 cases made.
The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino PS captures all of the promise I sensed when I first tasted it last year. Freshly cut flowers, bright fruit, licorice and spices play off each other as this fabulous Brunello shows off its considerable pedigree. The fruit takes on darker tonalities as the wine gains weight and depth in the glass. All the elements meld together beautifully on a long finish of extraordinary beauty. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2026.
Quite deep and still youthful-looking ruby. Very sweet and earthy and a touch reductive. Iron. Brooding power.
