Tasting notes
Youthful ruby color, with a garnet edge. Floral and perfumed, with a berry undertone on the nose. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a pretty, straightforward fruit aftertaste. A very good bottle but not the outstanding wine I have tasted in the past.--1982 Bordeaux horizontal. Drink now. James Suckling, Wine Spectator 1998

This fully mature 1982 displays a weedy, herbaceous character interwoven with notions of earth, fruitcake, cherry jam, and spice box. Representative of the old style Pavies, it is moderately endowed, with ripe tannin, but not a great deal of concentration. It needs to be consumed over the next 2-4 years.
