Tasting notes
Pale gold colour. Remarkably youthful nose, almost in stasis! Clementine, apricot and honey on the nose. There is real palpable sweetness here. Oily, honeyed fruits with a hint of ginger and saffron too. Some zesty acidity but I would like more bite. Generous and sweet to the finish. (TP)

The 2010 Riesling has a youthfully muted nose giving notes of lime slices, kumquat and fresh grapefruit with nuances of crushed stones and white pepper. The light bodied palate reveals a medium style in terms of sweetness with a relatively low alcohol (9%) and plenty of citrus and mineral flavors with a good backbone of crisp acid that lingers long into the finish. It should drink best for 2012 to 2019+. Importer: Wilson Daniels Ltd., St. Helena, CA; www.wilsondaniels.com
Pure, intense aromas and much heavier than the Forrest Doctors’ Riesling. Earnest and generally successful attempt to provide a medium-dry Riesling with a southern hemisphere accent. (JR)
