Medium red. Subdued aromas of redcurrant, spices, iron, smoke and tobacco. Lush, silky and sweet, with enticing red fruit flavors; seamless and opulent. I find more mid-palate sweetness here than in the Chateau des Ducs. In fact, this is downright plump for 2004. Finishes with very good palate coverage.

Moderately saturated medium red. Cooler aromas of red cherry, minerals and leather. Sweet on entry, then juicy and brisk, with very good energy and thrust. Less fat and plump than the Clos du Chateau des Ducs but minerally, precise and long.
