Good deep red. Very reduced aromas of black raspberry, licorice and game. Rich, smoky and very fine-grained, with impressive concentration and density to its dark fruit flavors. Ripeness verging on chocolatey here.

Not surprisingly, this is notably more elegant with its spicy, ripe and equally pure nose of various black berry fruit aromas. The spicy character continues onto the mineral and soil inflected medium-bodied flavors that offer excellent persistent and real depth on the mouth coating and solidly persistent finish. This is a classic Caillerets and worth a look. Tasted: Apr 15, 2013. Drink: 2018+
