Score 92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2004

Aromas of cling peach, white flavors and vanillin oak. Thick, dense and chewy, with very ripe but fresh peach, lime and toast flavors. This is rich and lush, but perfectly integrated acidity gives it elegance and shape and intensifies and extends its flavors.

Pear skins, minerals, and rocks are found in the nose of the 2002 Chassagne-Montrachet Caillerets. This lush, broad, rich, suave wine is deep, fleshy, and packed with resiny minerals as well as pears. Its plush personality lasts throughout its lengthy candied apple-filled finish. Projected maturity: 2005-2011. Importer: Vineyard Brands, Birmingham, AL; tel. (205) 980-8802, and Louis/Dressner Selections, Long Island City, NY; tel. (718) 433-4781
