Score 93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Sep 2010

Light bright medium yellow. Knockout musky, soil-driven nose melds smoke, flint, ginger, iodine, white pepper and minerals; this can only be Burgundy from a top site. Then rich, layered and ripe, with sweet fruit and mineral flavors spreading out to saturate the palate. Ripe acidity will not stand in the way of enjoying this wonderfully alluring wine now, but its concentration and filigree texture suggest it will age gracefully.
