2006 Chassagne Montrachet Les Caillerets

Pale straw-yellow color. Pear, white peach, minerals and oak char on the nose. Juicy, dense and penetrating, with a supple texture and an almost oily character to its lemon and lime flavors. Quite dry and bracing on the back end, with a crushed stone character giving the finish terrific lift and sneaky persistence. A terrific showing today.
