Tasting notes
This wine is exhibiting considerable amber and orange at the edges of its uninspiring medium ruby/garnet color. The nose offers up old cellar smells intermixed with earth, and spice. Some sweet, diluted Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is present in the wine's attack, but it falls off, revealing significant dilution and thinness. There is also astringent tannin in the wine's finish. This wine will continue to become more attenuated with cellaring. Anticipated maturity: Now-2005. Last tasted 3/95.
