Deep red-ruby. Superripe aromas of redcurrant, smoke, roasted herbs and tomato. Sweet, supple, fat and full in the middle; a full-blown style of Marsannay with very good depth of flavor. Then quite firm on the back end, with strong acids and slightly tough tannins. This firmly structured, backward wine needs five or six years.

Full, saturated medium ruby. Reticent, very ripe but lively nose hints at dark berries, spices and smoked meat. Densely packed but tight and closed, with a distinctly medicinal aspect and little early sweetness. Finishes with firm, building tannins. In a tougher style; this will need a good four or five years of bottle aging.
