1985 Les Forts de Latour

Tasting notes
Offers pleasant, mature cedar, currant, herb and bell pepper flavors that hang together quite well. The firm tannins are softening, but there's still plenty of depth and intensity. Nearing maturity. Drink now to 1998. Wine Spectator 1991.

Latour made one of the lightest wines I have ever tasted from this property in this very good vintage. Not surprisingly, their second wine is also forward. Soft, with only medium body, and a surprisingly short, undistinguished finish, this smooth, lightweight Latour should be drunk over the next 5-6 years. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 4/91.
