Tasting notes
Owned by Dr. Alain Raynaud, the innovative proprietor of Quinault l’Enclos in St.-Emilion, this blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, harvested at 35 hectoliters per hectare, is an elegant, pure, impeccably made offering revealing notions of raspberry liqueur, black currants, cherries, minerals, and white flowers. Medium-bodied, elegant, and pure, it is best consumed during its first 7-8 years of life.

(a Cotes de Castillon property purchased last year by Alain Raynaud, owner of Chateau Quinault) Medium ruby. Cool, aromatic nose combines blackberry, black cherry and espresso. Juicy and nicely delineated, with moderately ripe flavors and good cut. Not at all beefed up by overextraction. Finishes with slightly dry tannins. An estate to watch.
