Kick ass nose of bittersweet chocolate and tons of ripe, sweet dark fruits. Full bodied and great balance. Very nice finish. Great stuff.

The exceptionally fragrant, dark purple 2003 Syrah Moritz Vineyard boasts an extraordinary perfume of acacia flowers, blackberries, cassis, roasted meats, and subtle wood. Deep, opaque black-ruby color. Seriously deep aromas of ripe cherry, Valrhona chocolate, licorice candy and iron-like raw steak. Sweet and very dense on the palate, with open-knit cherry, plum and blackberry liqueur flavors. Thick and rich on the finish, with big but harmonious tannins. "My Cornas," says proprietor/winemaker Roman Bratasuik.
