Score 90-92/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2011
Good medium red. More reticent, soil-driven aromas of minerals, game, smoke, coffee and menthol. Then sweeter in the mouth than the nose suggests but a bit reduced, showing a distinctly wild smoked meat character. Most impressive today for its fine-grained texture. Finishes with firm tannins and very good length.
