Dark and peppery and concealed but becomes more fragrant as it opens. Lovely delicate fruit sweetness on the palate, more red fruited, and moreishly fresh. GV (JH)

Good bright ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, violet and licorice complicated by a whiff of game. Juicy, intensely flavored and youthfully tight but ultimately more supple than the Jouises. Carries its fruit nicely through the lingering finish. Some power here as well.

This is slightly riper and more deeply pitched as well with its mélange of red currant, blue pinot, plum and wet stone nuances. There is good size, weight and muscle to the more firmly structured yet velvety finish that offers excellent length. This is built to reward mid-term cellaring and should be worth the wait.
