Score 91-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Full ruby-red. Sauvage aromas of dark berries, game and roast coffee; showing less oak today than the Champeaux. Sweet, pure and penetrating, with juicy but rather reticent flavors of berries and coffee. Quite tightly wound and not yet showing its personality, but this has firm acidity and tannic structure for aging.
