Score 95/100 · Drink 2015-2030, Pierre Rovani, Dec 2002

The medium to full-bodied 2001 Riesling Trockenbeerenauslese Kiedrich Grafenberg reveals aromas of botrytised-laced earth and mangoes. Bordering on being over-the-top, this syrup of a wine is as thick as 10-W-40 motor oil. If time brings its dense core of caramelized/honeyed fruit focus and delineation my score will appear nonsensically conservative. Projected maturity: 2015-2030+.
