Lively, nervy nose. Lots of acidity. Very fine grained tannins. Still youthful – tastes more like a 2001 than a 2000. Just a bit green and feral for comfort. (JR)

Score 89/100 · Drink 2005-2015, Robert Parker, Apr 2003
The finest De Sales since the 1982 (probably better), the deep ruby/purple-colored 2000 boasts sweet aromas of soil, kirsch liqueur, raspberries, and currants. Layered and opulent, with sweet tannin and medium to full body, it is atypically large-scaled for a wine from this estate. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2015.
