Tasting notes
The 2003 Haut-Mazeris Fronsac is a broad, sensual, medium-bodied, dark plum/ruby-colored, beautifully made effort that is ready for current consumption. With a nice lushness as well as low acidity, it should drink well for 5-6 years.

Smudgy colour, low key nose – rather furry texture. Very sweet and not at all typical Fronsac (a bit like du Gaby). Not quite as lively as, say, de Carles – more like a Fronsac trying to be a Valandraud. (JR)
(this wine includes about 15% cabernet from century-old vines, plus 15% cabernet franc and the rest merlot, according to Jean-Luc Thunevin) Bright ruby. Chocolatey aroma of surmaturite Fat, lush, soft and full, with slightly roasted flavors of currant, leather and shoe polish. A distinctly plump wine, finishing with building, sweet tannins and very good length.
