Tasting notes
Dense bluish/purple, with sweet mulberry and black cherry fruit, this 2009 also displays notes of pen ink as well as a hint of spring flowers. It has wonderful fruit and an ample, voluptuous texture. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. A joint property of the Bouard family (Angelus) and Hebrard (formerly of Cheval Blanc), this is their best effort to date from this property.

Tasted at a negociant. There is nothing much to report on the nose, despite rigorous coaxing, the palate dominated by oak that rather subdues the fruit profile. There is freshness on the finish, but too much wood at the moment. Tasted March 2010
