Tasting notes
Score 89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2007

Good bright ruby-tinged red. More serious, sappy aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, smoked meat and minerals. Lush and seamless wine with notes of chocolate and underbrush. Not the last word in thrust or intensity but possesses very good volume and balance. And there's no shortage of material here. The yield was 42 hectoliters per hectare, but Gros emphasizes that "there's not a vine missing."

Good deep red-ruby; slightly hazy. Dark raspberry and flowers on the nose. A step up in intensity, with concentrated, lush flavors of blackberry, minerals and pepper. This is sweet, minerally and fine. Gros told me that crop levels in 2004 were around 45 hectoliters per hectare.
