Score 87/100 · Drink 2004-2007, Pierre Rovani, Feb 2004

Half of the white flower-scented 2002 Bourgogne was fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, the other half in used oak barrels. Fresh, tangy minerals can be discerned in its pure, detailed, and focused light to medium-bodied character. It is well-fashioned, seamless, and displays an appealingly long finish. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.

Two samples: Low-key nose. A bit low-key and dull. Pure, simple and overpriced. The HHC sample: Very solid nose with commendable subtlety for the price. Quite creamy. Good value wine for early drinking. An emissary for the quality of 2002. (JR)
