The 2008 Meursault les Clousots has a fresh, slightly flinty, almost Puligny-like bouquet with fine definition and sense of energy. The palate is vibrant on the entry with sappy apply fruit, a keen line of acidity and a complex, almost mature Chenin-like finish that leaves a dash of white pepper on the aftertaste. This is an excellent wine from Patrick Javillier. Tasted at Sarah Marsh's 2008 White Burgundy tasting.

Pale gold. Savoury nose with still a slight hint of oak. Solid evidence of evolution and a little richness on the palate. Very pleasing and still quite youthful. Clean, brisk, impressively persistent finish. (JR)
Lemon, lime and crushed stone on the nose, complemented by high-pitched oak spices and menthol. Quite rich and concentrated but less sexy today than the Tillets, as the stone and menthol flavors currently dominate the wine's fruit. Very sappy, tactile, pure wine with penetrating acidity and minerality echoing on the back end. In a rather classic style, with no easy sweetness.
Very harmonious and rich and complete on the nose. Pure pleasure. Really quite open and with just a little chew on the finish. Admirable! (JR)
