Medium red. Briary raspberry, cola, sandalwood and blood orange on the nose. Silky, lush and deep, with liqueur-like red fruit and underbrush flavors, along with a suggestion of game. Quite pliant and accessible for a young 2001. Finishes with firm, ripe tannins and lovely lingering perfume. Comes across as a bit more evolved than some of Drouhin's other grand crus.

Good red-ruby. Complex nose combines black raspberry, strawberry liqueur, minerals and an element of torrefaction. Lush, sweet and dense but also shapely and lively, with sappy, pure dark berry, mineral and mint flavors. Very juicy, sexy wine, finishing with sweet tannins and superb persistence.
