Score 87-88/100 · Drink 2003-2016, Robert Parker, Apr 1999

A concentrated effort for this estate, the 1998 La Tour-Martillac exhibits sweet, toasty, black currant fruit intertwined with tar and earth scents. With ripe tannin, medium body, and fine balance, this excellent wine should drink well between 2003-2016.
