Score 89/100 · Drink 2001-2016, Robert Parker, Apr 2001

A dark plum/ruby color is accompanied by a sexy bouquet of cigar tobacco, red and black currants, earth, and vanillin. This medium-bodied, seamless, lush, savory 1998 is difficult to resist. How long it will age is debatable, but it will certainly drink well for 10-15 years.

Square Chateau Olivier
Olivier

Ch. Olivier is one of the few actual castles in Bordeaux – coming with a moat and drawbridge. Since Alexandre de Bethmann took over here in 2012, the château has been given a new lease of life, with quality on the rise.
